The Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) is Canada's largest nurses' union, with members who provide care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health settings, the community, clinics, and industry across Ontario. ONA's work is guided and fueled by the grassroots actions of our members who fight for better, safer and fairer workplaces.
If you are studying nursing at a Canadian Nursing Students' Association chapter college or university in Ontario, you are an affiliate member of ONA. As an affiliate member, you have the right to participate in the activities of your union, including education and membership meetings. You can use this opportunity to build connections, learn from members and leaders with decades of experience on the job and help shape the future of ONA.
We are contacting you to gather your feedback and hear directly from nursing students about their perspectives on a critical area of health-care, specifically primary care. Primary care is the first point of contact within the health-care system, involving services provided by family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and health-care professionals to address a wide range of health concerns. This survey is being conducted to gain insights into the experiences and education of nursing students related to primary care.
